As the weather is a bit gloomy outside, why not have your own teddy bear picnic indoors? Here is a step by step guide to make your own FIMO teddy bear.
What you will need:
FIMO kids modelling clay, we use brown, white and pink
STAEDTLER permanent marker pen
Baking tray or ceramic tile
Roll 4 portions of brown FIMO into a ball for a body, and 2 portions into a smaller ball for the head.
Roll remaining 2 portions into a sausage and cut into 5 pieces. Make 2 into short fat legs and 2 into arms by rolling thinner at one end.
Cut the 1/5 piece of brown FIMO in half, roll 1 piece into a ball, add a smaller ball of pink FIMO on top and flatten. Cut in half to make 2 ears.
Press all the pieces into place – there’s no need for glue as FIMO sticks to itself!
Use the last piece of brown FIMO to make a muzzle by rolling into a ball and flattening on the bears face pressing into position.
Press small balls of pink FIMO onto your bear as a nose and paws. Roll a ball of flesh FIMO (or blend some brown into white to make beige) and flatten onto your bear’s tummy.
Bake for 30 minutes at 110 o C 230 o F allow to cool at room temperature. Use a permanent marker to draw eyes and a smiley mouth.
Try experimenting with different colour bears and invite them all to the picnic!
